Team Building Games

Team-Building-GamesQuest Events have been operating since 1993 and specializeTeam Building Games in providing teambuilding events.

Quests believe that the term teambuilding is misused by a lot of companies on a regular basis.
We feel that it is very important when organizing a teambuilding event that you only include team based games and not games where one person plays against another – this totally defeats the concept of teambuilding.

The emphasis should never be on one person as the philosophy behind teambuilding is that it doesn’t matter how fit or unfit you are, you can still play an integral part of your team.
As in the workplace, everybody contributes to the overall outcome of the business.

Over the years, Quest have developed specific teambuilding games suitable for a range of different issues.

Some of them highlight the importance of communication and that if there is poor communication within your team, you will fail!

Other games highlight issues like coping with change – this is becoming more and more relevant in our present climate where peoples’ job descriptions are changing. Another focus might be on meeting deadlines, working in difficult or strange surroundings.

An example of a teambuilding event focusing on the importance of communication is called SOS.

This event highlights how we communicate with each other and unless we use effective measures we as a team will not complete the tasks at hand.
It becomes obvious the different personalities within a group (the bossy, the know-all, the smart alec etc)

Throughout the event changes occur, people try different methods to get their point across, some changes work, other don’t – the whole point of this exercise is that in a fun environment people focus on what is happening are they communicating successfully or not, so that when they go back to the workplace they make the changes needed and use their new skills more effectively.
